One of my favourite things is The Hunger Games. Not the games (lol, they're not even real...) the books and the film ^-^
They were written by Suzanne Collins, and the film was directed by Gary Ross. I have written a short factfile of some of the Hunger Games characters, enjoy! (:
Jennifer Lawrence plays 'Katniss Everdeen' in the film. Katniss is a 16 year old girl from 'The Seam' (the poorer part of District 12) in District 12, the poorest district in Panem. After her sisters name is drawn at the annual 'Reaping Day' Katniss volunteers to replace her sister in The Hunger Games. A game in which 24 'tributes' are forced to fight to the death in an arena.
Josh Hutcherson plays 'Peeta Mellark' in the film. Like Katniss, he is also 16 years of age. Peeta is also from District 12, but is from the wealthier part. He is chosen as a tribute for the games, alongside Katniss.
Laim Hemsworth plays 'Gale Hawthorne' in the film. He is 18 years of age and is Katniss' closest friend. He is also a talented hunter and hunts with Katniss in the woods for food to eat or sell.
Willow Sheilds plays 'Primrose Everdeen' in the film. She is 12 years old and is Katniss Everdeen's younger sister. Her name is drawn at the reaping, but her sister volunteers as a tribute in her place.
Amandla Stenberg plays 'Rue' in the film. Like Prim, she is also 12 and is District 11's tribute in the games. She and Katniss become Allies in the games as Rue reminds Katniss as Prim, that is one of the major reasons why she teams up with her.
